A Foot Off the Ground

PepaPérezis a secretary at a company that supplies replacement parts for domestic appliances, stoically putting up with her boss’s bullying attitude. She doesn’t have a sparkling social life or go to trendy hotspots and can’t tell the difference between a good gin & tonic and a bad one. But none of that deters her from her dreams. She has two friends,Inésand Jacob, with whom she has dinner every Tuesday and Saturday. Her days pass unremarkably, piling up one after the other like a big, grey mountain.

But Pepa has a secret no-one knows about. She can fly. Well, strictly speaking, she doesn’t actually fly. Let’s say that sometimes Pepa levitates a couple of inches off the ground and that’s it. One day, while she’s flying, she falls in love. And then she gets so absorbed by the man of her dreams that she forgets to do it any more.
