City Of Sleeping Souls
Synopsis:
A city during civil war, a timeless love story and a literary homage to Bilbao.
When journalist Ignacio falls head over heels for Irene, a young red-headed bookseller, he hardly suspects that his feelings will coincide with the imminent outbreak of civil war. In the heart of a city fighting for its own survival, Ignacio is responsible for covering a destructive wave of violent crimes as Irene increasingly pines for her hometown, Gernika. Anxious and under siege, yet shielded by their mutual passion, the two lovers must face impossible situations that nothing could prepare them for.
A suspenseful historical fiction which reads like an aged photograph of a wounded city. A time machine to those turbulent decades in which love must fight to survive the wreckage and ravages of the past.
