Here is a comic where the hero is a contemporary girl, young and eager for new experiences, who defines herself by saying “You’re from the country if you were born in a place where there is no Corte Inglés.” That’s the origin of Moderna de Pueblo, her first disappointments when she discovers that life in the city isn’t all that it seemed. But our Moderna knows how to pull herself together and fight for a place to live, work and... fall in love.

Fall in love? Well, at least try, because life is full of flowers, but dickheads abound. Some are selfish, greedy, falsely liberated, or still clinging to their mother’s skirts. There are those who lie to you, others who are too sincere, and a few who ask you to open your heart and legs without complaining.

Moderna sees herself 10 years later. In the meantime, she revises one by one all the illustrations and adds new comics that reflect on and critique what she wrote a decade ago.
