Martino and Martina
Synopsis:
This novel is about the relationship between Martino, an ambitious 26 year old piano teacher, and a 15 year old girl; Martina. It is a story of love and heartbreak that transcends the difficulties of the age gap and lingers long after the first flush of passion. The book is a story about love, but it also deals with the problems of today’s youth: a lost boy trying to build something that will give his life direction and help him in his quest to rise above his social and cultural class.
Written in short chapters and brief phrases, in the style of the author’s Sabores (Tastes) series, this is a novel full of stories which follow one another in a cascade, growing ever tenser as the relationship develops.

Reviews | A romantic novel about first loves and the naivety of inexperience. Written with the originality of the ‘Carmona brand’ we saw in the 'Sabores series'; Sabor a chocolate and Sabor a canela, which both featured short chapters and brief phrasing. |
