Synopsis:

A fascinating journey through the planet’s most incredible records, brought to you by the popular educational phenomenon Un Mundo Inmenso.

Do you know which city is the most isolated on the planet? Or which country has the most time zones? From the Atacama Desert, the place with the highest solar radiation on Earth, to Å, the village with the shortest name in the world; taking in Greenland, the island most distorted by maps, and the remotest and most extreme corners of the Earth’s geography, this book brings together some of the planet’s most astonishing records.

With the engaging and accessible style that has turned Un Mundo Inmenso into an international phenomenon, this fascinating journey explores the limits of our globe through its most extraordinary places, phenomena and curiosities.

UN MUNDO INMENSO began as a YouTube channel in September 2018. The team consists of three people: Francisco Llorens, who handles research and scriptwriting; Antonella Grossolano, who is responsible for design and the development of the visual identity; and Diego Briano, who handles narration and video post-production. In 2022, they published their first book, also titled Un Mundo Inmenso, and in 2024 they released Explicaciones de fronteras inexplicables, both published by Península.
