Determined to seek justice for her murdered sister, Ángela Berrosteguieta becomes convinced that Juan Díaz de Garayo, an illiterate farm labourer, is responsible for the killings. Yet her pursuit of the truth unfolds in a society where violence against women is routinely ignored. With resources stretched thin and authorities reluctant to acknowledge the growing wave of murders, every step towards justice becomes an uphill battle.
