In fact, Spanish espionage was at the forefront of the world during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. This book gathers the history and the most outstanding facts of Spanish intelligence and of many of its shadow agents (some as well known as Quevedo or Cervantes), who operated successfully in Europe and the Mediterranean.
