Synopsis:

The protagonist of this novel is the only daughter of a wealthy diplomatic family. After a happy childhood and youth in Mexico, she returns to Madrid on her own. There she will meet the perfect young man: attractive, charismatic, well-born and rich. She falls head over heels in love with him, they get married and soon have a little girl, which is when the problems begin. The wonderful husband turns abusive and she escapes. On a journey to India with dear childhood friends, she is kidnapped by a terrorist cell. However, the episode won’t be tragic for her, quite the opposite in fact: she will fall in love with the Indian politician in charge of the ransom negotiations and her subsequent liberation. 

However, the relationship won’t be easy. In spite of their love, the differences between them seem practically irreconcilable and her idyll will start to fall apart. But everything can change in a moment...
