The Invisible Voice

Publishing date:3/02/2015

Synopsis:

Cèlia Matheu is a nurse at the Hospital de Sant Pau in Barcelona. Very early one cold morning an unconscious woman appears on the beach and Cèlia is shocked to find that the new arrival is Martina Constans, a friend who she thought drowned in 1987 when the ferry she was on sank.

Cèlia, Martina and Nora were inseparable during their teenage years and if they hadn’t met in that hospital room on that night in August their lives would have been very different.

Written with a carefully constructed plot and pulsating rhythm, The Invisible Voice portrays day to day life at a large hospital and the lives, dreams and frustrations of the people who make the choice to care for others, sometimes at the expense of their own wellbeing.

This is a story about the fragility of fate and the metamorphoses that come over all of us at different times in life.
