Two Days in September
Synopsis:
Winner of the Biblioteca Breve Prize in 1961, Dos días de setiembre is a story told from different points of view about the frenzied period of the grape harvest in a rural, aristocratic town in Andalucia. The novel presents a cross section of the issues of the small town in which wine is omnipresent; it is the element that ties people, things and the countryside together. But wine is also the determining factor in the events and situations that occur, the cause of critical acts and the premature decadence of the characters.
