A journey from within, through four seasons and two cities.

In the summer of 2017, Abril faces a pivotal moment. Just months before her Erasmus exchange in Latvia to finish her degree, her partner’s doubts about their relationship and her mother’s breast cancer diagnosis shake her to the core. With her foundations crumbling, Abril is gripped by fear and self- doubt. Her city, Barcelona, mirrors her internal chaos with the terrorist attack on Las Ramblas, the October 1 referendum demonstrations, and a looming future marred by climate crisis and job instability.

Abril leaves a barely recognizable Barcelona behind and plunges into the harsh winter of Riga. There, she learns that escaping oneself is impossible, even by plane. Amid the cold and solitude, Abril discovers the strength to be alone and the courage to embrace uncertainty.
