Alejandro Palomas

Alejandro Palomas (Barcelona, 1967) holds a degree in English Philology and a master’s in Poetics from New College, California. He has balanced writing fiction with poetry and translating works by important authors. As a novelist, he is the author of Una madre, Un perro, Un amor (Premio Nadal 2018), and Una vida, a series of novels featuring Amalia, which portray a family that has captivated thousands of readers. He is also the author of works such as El alma del mundo, El tiempo que nos une, the testimony Esto no se dice, and the young adult novel El día que mi hermana quiso volar. In 2016, his novel Un hijo received the National Prize for Youth Literature. His work, which has been adapted for theater and is soon to be adapted into film, has been translated into more than twenty languages.
