Ana Oncina Tortosa

Ana Oncina is one of the most stimulating and refreshing voices in the comic scene. She captivated thousands of readers with her debut series Croqueta y Empanadilla, which won the Audience Award at the Barcelona International Comic Fair in 2015 and was nominated for the Best Spanish Work Award at Ficomic. In 2017, Ana Oncina was included in the Forbes’ list of the most influential creators under 30 in Europe. Since then, she has published The f*cking 30s, Neko Grl, and Mangaka, and contributed to the anthology Voices That Count. Her latest works, Planeta and Just Friends (second prize at the 2024 International Manga Award in Japan), showcase a creative maturity in her career and transcend genre clichés to reflect on nature, relationships, and love in these times of virtual lives.
