Carmen Macedo

Carmen Macedo Figueroa was born in Seville in 1985. A graduate in Journalism, she has a professional career spanning over fifteen years in the field of communication. She is currently the Director of Marketing and manages several projects, works as a university professor, and, to keep herself busy, is pursuing a PhD in Communication.

She is passionate about words, crime, and noir fiction, a passion that led her to study Criminology and Creative Writing. In her work, she draws inspiration from people, discourses, knowledge, but above all, from places; those that are magical enough to inspire words.

For her, writing is about making others feel. And achieving it subtly in every sentence. That’s why she doesn’t overlook any of them. This is her debut novel.
