Casilda Sánchez Varela

Casilda Sánchez Varela was born in Madrid in 1978. She graduated in Sociology from the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca, has a Masters in journalism from the newspaper El Mundo and the Universidad San Pablo CEU and is an Expert in Communication and Armed Conflict. For ten years, she has worked as a journalist in the culture section of TELVA magazine. In 2014 she was a scriptwriter for the documentary La Búsqueda (The Search), about her father Paco de Lucía, which won the award for Best Documentary Film that year at the Goya Awards.
