David Luquin Urtasun (1970) is an industrial engineer who has spent more than thirty years asking the same question in many different ways: can it be done better?
He has founded companies, driven innovation projects, and led transformation processes in both public and private organisations. Among other initiatives, he opened Navarre’s first private medical imaging centre and helped establish nine research-based spin-offs.
He learned to programme as a child and still enjoys it. He used to push spreadsheets to their limits; now he does the same with artificial intelligence. He gets up early to study and go running—something he doesn’t enjoy but knows he needs. He loves complex vocal harmonies, plays the guitar and piano rather averagely, and prefers experiences to possessions.
He describes himself as a right-brained engineer, convinced that form matters as much as substance and that beauty is also an essential value. One lifetime seems too short to him.
