Diego Conte is a historian, writer and photographer. Since 2013, he has been a member of the Royal Academy of History and Art of San Quirce in Segovia, a province with which most of his professional career has been associated. He has written articles and delivered lectures on the people of Segovia who went into exile in France from 1939 onward and were subsequently deported to Germany. In the course of his research, he came across the story of the Ghost Train, to whose study he has devoted the past few years.
