Juan Miguel Tirado López

Juan Miguel Tirado López (Cádiz) is a writer and researcher of the unexplained. Deaf from birth, he developed an interest in mysteries at an early age, which, over the years, grew into a vocation focused on research and writing.

His fascination with Japan led him to move to Tokyo, where he lived from 2023 to 2025. During this time, he immersed himself in the country's culture, learned Japanese and Japanese Sign Language, became part of the local Deaf community, and carried out field research and documentation on legends, forgotten places and hidden stories.

This experience gave rise to Hidden Japan, a book that combines first-hand experience of contemporary Japan, thorough research and a personal perspective on the country's lesser-known side.
