Laura López-Mascaraque

Laura López-Mascaraque holds a PhD in Neuroscience and is a researcher at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). At the Cajal Neuroscience Center, she leads a research group dedicated to the study of brain development. She is head of the Biosciences and Biotechnology area at the Spanish State Research Agency, president of the Spanish Olfactory Network, and president of the European Chemoreception Organization. She has served as deputy director of the Cajal Institute and as president of the Women and Neuroscience Committee of the Spanish Society for Neuroscience. She has received the European Award for Science Communication in Neuroscience and is a Member of Merit of the Perfume Academy, where she holds the Orchid Chair.
