
María Sánchez is a field veterinarian. She currently works with endangered native breeds, advocating for alternative forms of production and relationships with the land, such as agroecology, grazing, and extensive livestock farming. She frequently collaborates on radio, digital, and print media, where she talks about literature, feminism, extensive livestock farming, and rural culture and environment.
She coordinates the project Las entrañas del texto, through which she invites reflection on the creative process.
Her poems have been translated into Portuguese, English, French, Romanian, and Polish.
She has published Cuaderno de campo (La Bella Varsovia, 2017), her first poetry collection, and Tierra de mujeres (Seix Barral, 2019), an intimate and familial look at the rural world, a nonfiction work about women and the rural environment.
