Miguel Delibes de Castro

Miguel Delibes de Castro (Valladolid, 1947), a doctor in Biological Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid, is an honorary professor at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). From 1988 to 1996, he served as the director of the Doñana Biological Station, a CSIC research institute, and from 2013 to 2024, he was the president of the Doñana Participation Council. He is the author of several hundred scientific articles published in specialized journals and has also written various works of popular science on topics related to nature, such as La naturaleza en peligro and Cuaderno del carril bici, and coauthored La Tierra herida and Pequeño mamífero.
