Rubén Ávila is a personal trainer, CEO, and co-founder of Myofisix, a center specializing in training and treatment for injuries and ailments. The center combines controlled fatigue training with muscle activation and physiotherapy.
Although he graduated in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Rubén shifted his career towards physical activity and training. He began as an indoor cycling instructor and later became a personal trainer at various gyms, including Up&Down DiR, Holmes Place Balmes, and Holmes Place Les Corts. At these centers, he developed the working philosophy that he later applied to Myofisix, focusing on safety, control, and efficiency, based on biomechanics and muscle function. His approach emphasizes correct muscle synergy in strength and movement generation.
In an industry often driven by trends and profit motives, where many ideas are based on misconceptions or half-truths, Rubén advocates for understanding the fundamentals of physical health, functionality, and wellness for everyone.
