Violeta Gil

Violeta Gil is a writer, philologist, and translator. She is cofounder of the theatre company La tristura, with which she has developed an international career as a writer, director and performer.
In 2019, she published her first poetry collection, Antes de que tiréis mis cosas, and in 2022 her first novel, Llego con tres heridas, a critically acclaimed work of autofiction. Her writing combines intimacy and politics, turning the personal into a way of exploring collective conflicts such as memory, violence and mental health.
