With the collaboration of her partner in the struggle, sociologist Maite Egoscozabal, and the voices of many women both anonymous and well-known, the author opens our eyes to our biases about motherhood, inviting us to reflect and react. She does this to effect a cultural revolution that breaks mothers’ silence about their experiences and generate a real social change.

Only by uncovering what women give up, apparently voluntarily but actually against their will, can we put an end to inequality and ensure that the legitimate demands this book puts forward become a reality of future generations.
