The Lady Minstrel
Synopsis:
The legendary life of a Galician minstrel at the court of Alfonso X.
The Lady Minstrel recreates the legendary life of María Pérez “la Balteira”, a beautiful woman from a good family who decided, in the XIII century, to become a soldier, as we know from chants and songbooks of the era. Little more than a girl, a lover of dance and music, she took to the road, leaving behind the misery of Galicia to live the life of an adventurer with extraordinary independence for her time.
Through a colorful fresco showing all the miracles of medieval life, The Lady Minstrel is an authentic recreation of the life of a fascinating woman who lived in the world of the troubadours at the court of Alfonso X.
